Establishing an intercultural dialogue is essential for fostering understanding and appreciation among communities of diverse backgrounds. To facilitate this dialogue, we will organize a series of cultural exchange activities and walking seminars that embrace and explore cultural diversity. Recognizing and accepting diversity is a prerequisite for meaningful dialogue, and these activities aim to benefit both the Danish community and refugee/immigrant individuals by serving as a valuable tool for integration.
The primary objective of these activities is to enhance the understanding and appreciation of Danish heritage among refugees/migrants, while also providing them with a space to share their own cultural backgrounds with members of the Danish community. Effective inclusion requires not only that newcomers learn about the traditions and culture of the host country, but also that their voices and perspectives are acknowledged and understood.
The program will span eight weeks, featuring a different activity each week, alternating between events and walking seminars. This structure will allow participants to engage with the cultural offerings in various formats. Each activity and walking seminar will start at 16:00 and finish around 17:30-18:00.
