The Act concerns changes other acts regulating the conditions of access to certain professions. In the field of heritage, this involves amending the Act on the Protection and Care of Monuments and the Act on Museums. In the field of museums, the Act defines who museum workers are (employees employed in museums in positions carrying out tasks related to: 1) collecting and scientifically developing collections, 2) organizing exhibitions and making collections available for educational and scientific purposes, 3) organizing research and scientific expeditions, including archaeological ones, 4) conducting educational, artistic, cultural dissemination or publishing activities) and the conditions of employment as a certified curator (including doctoral degree, professional achievements), senior conservator, conservation assistant professor, senior documentarian, documentary filmmaker, senior renovator, renovator. The next articles specify the documents necessary to confirm professional qualifications, the period of work experience, and professional achievements. In the field of monuments, the Act specifies what conditions should be met by a natural person or an organizational unit applying for a permit to conduct conservation work, restoration work, conservation research, architectural research, in the case of a monument entered in the register or archaeological research. The Act also obliges that conservation work, restoration work or conservation research carried out at monuments entered in the register or at monuments that are parks entered in the register or other types of organized greenery entered in the register should be supervised by a person who has completed second-cycle studies or uniform master’s studies, in the field of conservation and restoration of works of art or conservation of monuments and having professional experience (monuments) or other studies that enable the acquisition of appropriate knowledge and skills (parks). dditionally, the act specifies who may carry out construction works and architectural and archaeological research carried out on monuments.
