(Craftsmanship Regulations of the Flemish Minister of Culture)
Craftsmanship is a form of intangible cultural heritage that resides in the minds and hands of people: knowledge and skills with roots in tradition . Craftsmanship is seen very broadly: it can concern crafts, but also certain applied arts or performing arts. Passing on this kind of craftsmanship is necessary to keep it alive. With the support of craftsmanship, Flanders can profile itself internationally. After all, UNESCO calls for this kind of heritage to be passed on, under the banner of Living Human Treasures. It is linked to the “Social” aspect of the Triple Transformation through the aims for inclusiveness in the scholarship.
