The regional cultural plan for Skåne 2025–2028 sets the direction for Region Skåne’s development work over the next four years. It is also a collaborative platform for joint cultural initiatives in Skåne. It emphasises the intrinsic value of culture, but also its important function in a living democracy and its power in the construction of society.
The goal is for the whole of Skåne to develop and have access to a rich and dynamic cultural life of high quality with both breadth and cutting-edge that more people will have the conditions to participate in and take part in on equal terms. Cultural heritage is recognised as a vital component of the region’s cultural landscape. The plan emphasises the preservation and development of sites with cultural and historical significance, acknowledging their role in enhancing the attractiveness of living environments and fostering a sense of identity among residents.
