The Norte Pontual programme, established by the Northern Portugal Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR NORTE, I.P.), aims to support cultural agents in the Northern region of Portugal. This initiative is designed to enhance the viability and sustainability of cultural projects that address specific regional needs and capabilities.
The program operates under three main support lines:
– Pontual Projects: This line focuses on local and regional cultural projects, providing essential funding to foster grassroots initiatives.
– Pontual Instruments: This line is dedicated to supporting local musical associations, promoting the development of music culture within the community.
– Pontual Protocols: This line targets actions with strategic potential, offering support for projects that demonstrate significant regional impact.
For the year 2024, the total budget allocated for the NORTE PONTUAL program is €300,000, with a maximum of €200,000 available for the “Pontual Projects” line. Each entity can submit only one project per year, and the funding is provided as a non-repayable grant. Applications must be submitted electronically, accompanied by a detailed project description and relevant documentation.
The program emphasises the importance of cultural initiatives that are not only creative but also contribute to the cultural landscape of the Northern region, ensuring that these projects align with the broader goals of regional development and cultural enrichment.
