Culture gives wings and roots to the people of Kainuu. The Kainuu Culture Programme wants to strengthen the visibility, accessibility and impact of culture, both for the people of Kainuu and visitors.
The cultural programme is the result of a jointly effort of regional cultural operators, aiming to develop and renew the whole region starting from Kainuu’s artistic and cultural sectors. Art is part of culture, but culture broadly covers all human activity. The cultural programme is designed to make the region and culture in the region an increasingly known rand accessible reality to every citizen of Kainuu.
The cultural programme serves as a roadmap to support regional development up to 2025.
