Halland’s Cultural Strategy for 2025–2032 serves as a comprehensive roadmap to enhance the region’s cultural landscape. Aligned with the vision “Halland – Bästa livsplatsen” (Halland – The Best Place to Live), the strategy emphasises three strategic development areas: a free art and cultural life, engaging cultural life for all, and culture as a societal force. These areas aim to foster artistic freedom, broaden participation, and leverage culture for societal development.
Cultural heritage is prominently featured within the strategy, particularly under the priority “Halland’s Eventful History.” This focus underscores the importance of preserving and promoting Halland’s rich historical narratives as a means to strengthen regional identity and community cohesion. By integrating cultural heritage into contemporary cultural initiatives, the strategy seeks to make history accessible and engaging for both residents and visitors, ensuring that the past contributes to present and future societal wellbeing.
