El uso del podcast para la difusión del patrimonio cultural en el entorno hispanoparlante: análisis de las plataformas iVoox y SoundCloud

This study focuses on the utilization of podcasts for disseminating cultural heritage within the Spanish-speaking world. Podcasting technology has undergone significant growth in recent years, propelled by the evolution of the semantic web or web 2.0 and the rise of content prosumers. This evolution is categorised into four stages: experimental (late 20th century to 2005), consolidation (2006 to 2009), multimedia (2010 to 2013), and hatching (2014 to the present).

The study scrutinizes the presence of this medium on two primary international podcasting platforms: iVoox and SoundCloud. These platforms offer a diverse range of content and serve as barometers for the interest and adoption of podcasts in the Spanish-speaking cultural domain.

By analysing the prevalence of podcasts on these platforms, valuable insights can be gleaned regarding the usage of podcasts for disseminating and popularising cultural heritage within the Spanish-speaking community. This, in turn, can inform the development and promotion of initiatives aimed at preserving and promoting cultural heritage in this region of the world.
