The second article introduces a classification system for cultural heritage objects based on form and type, encompassing buildings, complexes, attractions, and various categories like archaeological, historical, and monumental art.
The second chapter of the law designates governing bodies responsible for cultural heritage protection, ensuring effective management and oversight.
The third chapter mandates the state’s role in monument accounting, outlining procedures for inclusion in Ukraine’s State Register of Immovable Monuments and removal protocols.

Overall, the law establishes a robust framework aligning Ukraine’s cultural heritage preservation efforts with international standards, aiming to protect its rich historical legacy for present and future generations.
