    The article focuses on investigating the medium-term effects of nanolime consolidants on fresco paint layers with a lack of cohesion. The study compares the impact of three consolidants on the surface morphology and colour of treated replicas. Results show that after three years, the nanolime-treated areas appear visually lighter but maintain stability, indicating a low to medium risk of aesthetic incompatibility. Nanolime particles contribute to the re-cohesion of paint layers, with observations suggesting partial carbonation of the particles over time.
