Province of Gelderland – subsidising of Erfgoed Gelderland (Heritage Gelderland) – Nieuwe subsidieregeling provincie Gelderland versterkt cultuur in regio

From 1 January 2025, the subsidy for culture and heritage of the province of Gelderland will change. The subsidy is for municipalities, to encourage residents to participate in cultural and heritage activities. What is new is that the province also wants to strengthen the cultural basis in the region with this scheme: municipalities can help cultural institutions.
On 12 November 2024, the Provincial Council adopted the new subsidy scheme. €5.6 million in subsidies are available for culture and heritage. To strengthen the cultural infrastructure, €200,000 per region (per year) is available. For subsidies to stimulate participation in cultural and heritage activities, at least 4 municipalities must submit an application together. They can apply for a subsidy for a maximum of half of the costs, with a maximum of €15,000 per municipality per year.
