Eligible cultural institutions are encouraged to present coherent digitisation projects that align with the programme’s goals. These projects should detail the digitisation process, from inventory and data management to the actual digitisation and online availability of objects. Funding is provided through project funding, with grants available for up to €150,000 per project year. The programme prioritises projects that promote open accessibility and reuse of digitised materials.
Applications are evaluated by an external jury based on technical quality, adherence to guidelines, and the potential impact on Berlin’s cultural landscape.
